Without looking any further, if the Covid-19 crisis has taught us as a society anything, it is the need to adapt in order to solve major problems.
How important is innovation for a company?
Let’s start with the basics, what is that R&D+i and what is it for?
It stands for
Research (R)
, which is the generation of new knowledge,
Development (D)
, which is the use of this knowledge in obtaining new products or services, and
Innovation (i)
, which is the continuous improvement of the product, process or service to generate a positive impact on society.
Therefore, R&D&I helps companies to have the capacity to adapt to problems and provide the most effective solutions possible; and it helps society to solve existing problems, whether large or small, recent or past.
How to implement an R&D+i plan?
At DFGRUPO, we are aware of the need to adapt to the times and to the problems, which is why we have increased our investment in R&D&I by 82% in less than 3 years, reaffirming our innovative character.
During this period, we have actively participated in 9 R&D+i projects in close collaboration with researchers from different universities, technology centres and companies, with three of these projects still active and under development.
This has allowed us to generate knowledge for the continuous improvement of our processes and for the development of a multitude of innovative technological solutions, which we put at the service of our customers.
Being part of these projects has also opened the door for us to participate in various scientific congresses and seminars, placing us at the forefront of knowledge and research.
Because how do you measure a company’s innovation?
A new phase is currently opening in DFGRUPO’s R&D+i activity, in which we are integrating all the Group companies in the different lines of research, and have applied for four new strategic projects.
With the experience we have accumulated over the years participating in projects, we also offer our customers and collaborators our advisory services, preparation and submission of research projects and patents, as well as the materialisation of all this knowledge into products: formulations, laboratory and field validations, preparation of technical reports or preparation of documentation for registration.
The performance of an effective and useful R&D+i activity is necessarily the result of the activity of a qualified human team, and at DFGRUPO we are aware that our R&D+i team is our driving force to advance towards the future.
