Fixation of atmospheric nitrogen for the manufacture of ammonia for the formulation of self-consumption biofertilizers.
Ecoamoniacare was created with the aim of responding to the new mandatory measures that Europe is introducing to minimise the use of agrochemicals in agriculture.
In this scenario and with the constraints of these new environmental regulations,
Ecoamoniacare seeks to fix atmospheric nitrogen to synthesise ammonia, which is the source of nitrogen in current fertilisers.
A project that encourages the reduction of gases released into the atmosphere and adapts the use of fertilisers to the new requirements for the conservation of agricultural soils.
By investigating the necessary conditions and requirements, Ecoamoniacare will design a mixed nitrogen generation system based on the integration of an electrolytic part and a biological part under suitable conditions, enabling the synthesis of fertilizer for self-consumption on farms.
A system that fully respects the principles of sustainability and is consistent with the circular economy.
The Ecoamoniacare project process.
The project development is as follows:
- A device will be designed to solve the particular requirements, synthesising a biofertilizer based on ammonia as the main source of nitrogen in combination with additional elements of biological origin for the development of a fertilizer formulation, which can be applied autonomously.
- The source of hydrogen will be natural and renewable resources, such as rainwater and atmospheric nitrogen.
- The incorporation of different micro-organisms capable of fixing atmospheric nitrogen will be studied.
This will significantly increase the added value of the formulation, offering a mixed system that combines the fixation of atmospheric nitrogen (air) and its conversion to ammonia, with micro-organisms capable of increasing the nitrogen content of the devised system.
Ecoamoniacare, a mixed nitrogen generation system, born from DFGRUPO’s R&D+i team to solve the latest demands in agriculture.
